Glossary
Plain definitions of the terms used across Gregory Softworks — what they mean and how we use them.
01Gregory Softworks
Gregory Softworks is a software and product studio that designs and builds web platforms, mobile apps, and AI-driven tools. Operated by Gregory Softworks LLC, a Texas company founded in 2026 by Austin Gregory, it develops and ships its own subscription products, including Myndfold, cntct.space, and Teachstead.
02Software Studio
A software studio is a small, design-led team that takes digital products from concept to launch — handling engineering, interface design, and product strategy under one roof. Unlike a staffing agency, a studio owns outcomes end-to-end and often builds its own products.
03App Development
App development is the process of designing, building, testing, and shipping software applications for mobile devices or the web. It spans native iOS and Android apps and cross-platform and full-stack web applications.
04Website Development
Website development is the building of websites and web platforms — from marketing sites to data-rich dashboards and APIs — using modern frameworks engineered for speed, resilience, and maintainability.
05AI Consulting
AI consulting is advisory and engineering work that helps a product adopt artificial intelligence effectively — selecting models, designing assistants and agents, and integrating large language models (LLMs) into real workflows rather than as a gimmick.
06Automation Consulting
Automation consulting is the design and implementation of systems that remove repetitive manual work — connecting tools, building pipelines, and deploying agents that run reliably in the background.
07SaaS
SaaS (software as a service) is a delivery model in which software is hosted centrally and offered to users by subscription over the internet, rather than installed and owned outright. Gregory Softworks builds and operates SaaS products.
08Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the practice of structuring a website's content and data so AI-powered answer engines — such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google's AI search — can understand, attribute, and cite it accurately.
